Meanwhile down on the ...

Today we vote whether to give the Welsh Assembly greater legislative powers. We have been badly informed with regard to this and I have been wondering whether to go with my instincts or to try to think logically what will be best for Wales. In the end Abby O’Reilly gave my flagging thoughts a fillip and I am voting NO. Sadly, in a corrupt political climate, Wales is probably more corrupt than England. Giving the Assembly more powers to grab more of a few people is not the way forward. If this is democracy, and I have my doubts, then we need to make sure that we make these people behave as well as we can. It really is wearing to be governed by a bunch of semi adolescents with about as much brains and notions of honour as a loofa!

About Me

Diotima
Stouter and older and less tolerant probably. I've never really had a proper job. Born in Egypt, brought up partly in the far East and partly in Hampshire, educated in Hong Kong, the Isle of White, Swizerland and Wales. I live in a remote Welsh Valley. The many photographs of my childhood have been pinched by the Philistines othewise I could have show you what Alexandria was like in the 1940's, Hong, Macau, Lan Tau and the New Territories in the 1950's, Singapore, Malaysia, Tahiland, Cambodia and Switzerland in the 1960's and the Middle Sea in the 1970's. And that takes us well into to my adulthood!
